I was recently told that the publicly funded (through JISC) Film & Sound Online has some useful resources for studying the miner’s strike of 1984-5. You may need your Athens logon and password to gain access, depnding upon whether you are on the UoB campus network.

Items of interest are two productions by Amber Films ‘Where are we going’ (1983) and ‘Why support the miners?’ (1983) which were made before the strike but are very valuable background.
